FIFS announces the promotion of Jim McMichael to Human Resources (HR) Manager.

Jim has been employed at FIFS since 2008 as a Business Insurance Advisor.  He will continue serving in this capacity in addition to his new role, overseeing the HR needs of the agency.  Jim’s positive attitude, mentoring of new employees, a unique ability to encourage others, and the high respect from his co-workers make him the perfect fit.

Often described as the office jokester, Jim strives to motivate his co-workers and to build team continuity.  FIFS is excited to add Jim to the management team, and anticipates him bringing a new perspective in addition to his advocacy of our employees.

Also as a part of this key transition, Karla Myers, FIFS Operations Manager (and former overseer of HR matters), has expanded her role to include oversight of agency marketing and advertising, information technologies, website and social media management, vendor relations and more. 

In 2004, Karla implemented new procedures at FIFS creating a paperless workflow in an effort to embrace new technology, create more efficient workflows, and reduce waste. Karla’s gifts in agency operations, compliance, and technology have been valued resources since she joined the agency in 1997.    

FIFS is excited about these recent changes, the value they will bring to the growth of the agency, and the anticipated collaboration between Jim, Karla, and the rest of the management team.
