Seeing Eye Puppy Ginger is getting some great training and exposure in the FIFS office. She’ll be spending the morning here learning to sit quietly under Kate’s desk. This is an important part of her training since she may be matched with a blind or visually impaired person who works in an office.
Kate and her family are raising Ginger for The Seeing Eye. Their job is to teach her basic obedience and expose her to as many different situations as they can to help prepare her for all the places she will go as a guide dog. She will be returning to The Seeing Eye sometime later in the Fall to continue her training and learn the specific skills needed to guide a blind person.
