We are proud to share that Franconia Insurance & Financial Services (FIFS), an agent for Goodville Mutual Casualty Company (GMCC) in New Holland, PA, recently had the honor of participating in GMCC’s Charity of Choice program. This annual program allows agencies to select a charitable organization to receive a $1,000 donation.
This year, we chose North Penn Goodwill Service, Inc. (NPGS) as our recipient.
NPGS is a remarkable, 100% volunteer-run organization that has been serving our community since 1949. Without any government funding, they rely solely on donations and volunteer support to provide vital relief services to first responders across an eight-county region in proximity to Souderton, PA.
When we presented the $1,000 check, volunteers from NPGS graciously gave us a tour of their canteens and shelter trucks—the vehicles they take on calls to provide food, drinks, and support to first responders during emergencies. We even got a special look at their brand-new shelter truck, which is currently being prepared for service.
As a fully volunteer-driven organization, NPGS is always looking for new volunteers to join their mission. If you are searching for a meaningful way to give back, this is an incredible opportunity to support first responders and make a direct impact.
We are grateful to North Penn Goodwill Service, Inc., for the tireless work they do to keep our community strong and cared for and to Goodville Mutual Casualty Company for the Charity of Choice program. Thank you for everything you do!
The NPGS Mission Statement: The purpose of the North Penn Goodwill Service, Inc. is to provide hot food, hot and cold drinks, temporary shelter from the elements, and a restroom facility to emergency workers including police, firefighters, and rescue personnel. We are dispatched upon emergency personnel’s request, to emergency scenes via the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Emergency Dispatch system on a 24/7/365 basis. While on the scene, we prepare food and drinks for the emergency responders as well as victims of any disaster as requested by those who summoned us.
