Our Spring Fitness Challenge started this week. The goal is for the FIFS team to walk 3,369 miles between April 18 and May 25, 2022, an average of about 7,000 steps a day per person. Our imaginary walk is on the Appalachian Trail, starting at Springer Mountain in Georgia and heading to Mount Katahdin, Maine, then back to Bake Oven Knob in Pennsylvania. To kick off the hike, each person received a packet that included a water bottle, granola bar, trail mix, hydration multiplier, a bandana, and a map of the trail.


The Fitness Challenge Committee will be tracking our progress, providing suggestions for stretching exercises, healthy eating options, and weekly incentives to keep us going. Check out our social media posts for updates on our hike.
