Members of the FIFS team have been collecting funds to be given to the Franconia Township Police Benevolent Association’s (FTPBA) Shop with a Cop program. Today we presented a check to officers Tim Boyle and David Klepfer.

This year funds were raised at our FIFS Motorsports Chilly Cruise that was cohosted with East Penn Modifiers Club and individual donations from FIFS employees. A total of $2,000 was given today.

The families are identified by the Souderton Area School District and offered by the FTPBA to participate in the program. The police officers and volunteers shop alongside the families at Wal-Mart to purchase gifts for their children. In addition, they are able to purchase necessities for their household and family members.

The support from community individuals and businesses allows the families to see that their community cares for them.

The Shop with a Cop is in its eight year and up to 15 families will be invited to participate this month.

FIFS is happy to contribute to this program and appreciates all that the Franconia Township Police Department does for our community.
