Keystone Insurers Group (KIG) has named their State Partners of the Year for 2018, giving the Pennsylvania award to FIFS. The award recognizes the PA Partner that best exemplifies Keystone’s mission: “Independence works better together.” Criteria include demonstrating a commitment to grow through leadership mentoring, engaging in technology advancements, employing best practices to improve agency operations and developing new income streams to strengthen their business diversity.
FIFS is one of the nearly 300 locally owned and operated franchise locations of Keystone Insurers Group. KIG is ranked number three on Insurance Journal’s 2017 list of Top 20 Privately-Held Property/Casualty Agency Partnerships.
“Our number one piece of advice for other partners to improve their agency in the industry is to have conversations with your fellow Keystone partners – ask questions, learn from them, share strategies, and team up with them if needed on certain accounts. Utilize the niches of other Keystone partners to write that ancillary piece of business to solidify an account. Also, provide your staff with cutting edge tools they need to do their job well (agency management system, computers, technology, etc.). Find areas of insurance where you can develop a niche, and then market specifically to that demographic and connect with persons/clubs.
